Flowers are fire engine red and a very
green throat. It is all about performance
and being a garden show off, Spacecoast
Little Red Ninja has it all. The Kaskel
Super Red parent was a merger of Kaskels
and Benz red lines. It was one of the best
branched reds I have ever seen. It was a
tree. I remember the lowest bud to highest
bud had a whopping twenty-three inches of
separation in Kaskel's garden. Most
daylilies have a 5-inch separation.
Spacecoast Little Red Ninja has around
fifteen inches of separation. I never saw
Kaskel Super Red as good in my zone five
garden, but the genes were present. I gave
a fan to Linda Pinkham which she
introduced as Kaskel Red. After crossing it
into the Kinnebrew lines, Spacecoast Little
Red Ninja was created. The branching and
high bud count and high resistance to rust
was passed on
